1. General Policy

All purchases and subscription fees on Knowvas are generally non-refundable. Because our products are digital goods (ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, comics, and newspapers) that are made immediately available upon purchase, we are unable to accept returns in the traditional sense.

By completing a purchase or subscribing to a plan, you acknowledge and agree to this policy. This applies to both one-time content purchases and recurring subscription payments.

2. When Refunds Are Granted

Notwithstanding the general policy above, Knowvas will issue a refund or credit in the following circumstances:

Accidental duplicate charges

If you were charged more than once for the same purchase or subscription period due to a technical error.

Technical errors preventing access

If a verified technical fault on our platform prevented you from accessing content you paid for, and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe.

Unauthorised transactions

If a charge was made without your authorisation and you report it to us promptly. We may require supporting evidence.

Legal requirement

Where applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require us to provide a refund.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:

You changed your mind after purchasing content or subscribing.

You did not use the content or subscription during the billing period.

You forgot to cancel your subscription before the renewal date.

You purchased a plan and later decided to switch to a different tier.

Content did not meet your personal expectations, provided it was accurately described.

Your account was suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.

4. Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

Access continues until period end

You retain full access to your subscription benefits until the end of your current billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued for unused days.

No automatic renewal

Once cancelled, your subscription will not renew and you will not be charged again.

Downgrade to free tier

After your paid period ends, your account automatically moves to the free (Freebie) tier. Your purchased content remains accessible in your library.

5. Payments via Paddle

For customers paying in USD or ZAR, payments are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record. This means:

• Paddle handles all payment processing, tax calculation, and compliance on our behalf.

• Your payment statement will show a charge from Paddle.com.

• Refund requests for Paddle-processed payments are subject to both this policy and Paddle's Refund Policy.

• For disputes or chargebacks on Paddle transactions, you may also contact Paddle directly at support@paddle.com.

6. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you are eligible for a refund under this policy, please contact our support team within 14 days of the charge:

Include in your request:

  • • Your registered email address
  • • The transaction reference or order ID
  • • The date and amount of the charge
  • • A brief description of the issue

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3–5 business days.

7. Changes to This Policy

Knowvas reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
