Synopsis
Makashifat Ghaibiya translates to "Unveiled Things of the Absent Realm" and refers to a concept or a work related to spiritual knowledge and the hidden aspects of reality. While the term isn't universally defined, it appears in discussions of Sufism and mystical literature and is associated with gaining insight into the spiritual or unseen world. In this context, makashifat ghaibiya refers to the "unveiling of unseen mysteries" or revelations of divine truths that mystics experience. It is a state of privileged inner knowledge that is attained through personal experience and direct, spiritual vision of God, and is considered an alternative to knowledge gained through intellectual pursuits. Literal Meaning: The Arabic-derived term "Makashifat" (or Mukashifat) means "unveiling" or "revelations," and "Ghaibiya" relates to the unseen or absent realm (al-ghaib). In this book Mujaddid had two constructive criticisms for Ibn Arabi's (wahdat -i wujud), with respect to two disparate matters. They are, Earlier: In the earlier part of his life the Mujaddid (QS)'s theory was this, Sufi experience of tawhid: Wahdat-i shuhud with respect to the nature of the sufi experience of tawhid. Ontology: However, his ontology was zilliyat, that the existence of the cosmos was shadow (zilliy) existence, instead of prototypal existence, which belonged to Allah swt exclusively. Later: A Modified form of wahdatul wujud with Seven-descents with respect to ontology.
