My Experience Living With Nigerian Pastors: Untold Truth Behind the Pulpit

$7.0 PG
Synopsis

My Experience Living With Nigerian Pastors: Untold Truth Behind the Pulpit is Ferdinand Nkem Egwue’s fearless memoir of life inside the hidden rooms of church leadership, where piety, power, and cruelty collide. At eighteen, Egwue devoted himself entirely to service—cooking, cleaning, praying, and obeying—only to discover devotion could be exploited. Early obedience turned into relentless labor, public shame for mistakes, and spiritual manipulation. Leaders preached love in public but ruled with fear in private, weaponizing scripture and masking corruption as honor. Through his journey, Egwue exposes the erosion of trust, the misuse of faith to demand absolute surrender, and the human cost of unchecked authority. Yet, this is also a story of awakening: reclaiming his voice, finding an independent faith, and learning to demand accountability, discernment, and compassion within the church. His reflections are a call to action—for transparency, protection of the next generation, and a faith community that nurtures rather than destroys.

What an exposition! The author, reveals the dark secrets behind the pulpit through personal experience. I would recommend this book to all Christians, especially young ones willing to serve in the house of the Lord.
